Kibera UK is an unusual Gap Year Company in that it does not charge volunteers.

  • Kibera UK is an organisation that helps volunteers work in Kibera, Nairobi, Kenya.
  • Volunteers can be from anywhere in the world. You should be aged 21+, educated, keen, determined, fit & healthy and compassionate.
  • Jobs available: assisting in schools, Medical Clinics, orphanages, job training, helping with basic human rights and also organising sport.
  • Job duration: Minimum 3 months.
  • This is ideal for volunteers who wish to take a Gap Year in Kenya after University.

Kibera is situated 5kms southwest of Nairobi, housing almost 1million people in one of the largest settlements in Africa. The people are living in extreme poverty and much help is needed.

Kibera UK will organise your visit including your accommodation and job placement. We take no money from you. You save up, pay your own airfare and hostel costs but we will be helping, organising and advising.
